Butterfly Sculptures Made From Recycled Paper

Rebecca J Coles is a paper artist based in the United Kingdom who creates three-dimensional sculptures from a hand drawn and cut assemblage of colorful butterflies from recycled paper. In her use of recycled paper, she is able to dissect small bits of color, imagery and text to form these silhouettes that are later reconstructed and later encased. These sculptures can be composed of anywhere from hundreds or even thousands of butterflies!

Incredible Devices From Salvaged Paper by Jennifer Collier

“I tend to find items then investigate a way in which they can be reused and transformed; giving new life to things that would otherwise go unloved or be thrown away.” – Jennifer Collier
Jennifer Collier is from Stafford, UK where she transforms our everyday interpretation of household items into lovely works of art from repurposed paper materials. She works with various types of paper which include maps, postcards, news clippings and the like and then by bonding, waxing, trapping and stitching she produces unusual paper ‘fabrics’, which are used to explore the ‘remaking’ of household objects.

TAU: Speakers Made From Recycled Paper

Andrej Čverha of Hangar Design Forge designed the TAU speakers which are made from recycled cardboard and paper finished in epoxy. The shapes themselves were an exploratory exercise in finding the simplest form that provides maximum audio fidelity. The result is an organic form suspended on rods designed to hide the cables which amplify it’s elegance.
