Unseen Pleasure by David Benmussa

David Benmussa is a graphic designer based out of Paris, France. He has a wide range of dabbling, but one that particularly caught me of course was his latest piece. He has created a mounted paper sculpture, a tribute to Joy Division & Peter Saville, for his participation in Music Covers Exhibition that will be running in France from December 1st to January 12, 2012.

Crackin’ Calendar For December
We saw last months calendar from Go Scout Creative that blew us all away and shed a bit of color and cheer to confused month of weather. Well now we have a new calendar that is sure to crack you up…. literally! They have bestowed upon us the Nutcracker himself popping out of a box ready to crack some acorns (that I didn’t take the liberty of making).
This calendar of the month was a little more challenging and if you saw the process of my gluing you would probably shake your head, however I assure you it’s worth it and you will probably do a better job. Thanks again guys! I can’t wait for next months calendar for the start of the new year!

Cardboard Ladies by Christian Tagliavini

The realm of cardboard art is easily unsurpassed with the numerous amounts of ways that it can be manipulated, everything from apartments to installations and music videos to even fruit.
Now we can say that fashion and photography can have a share in this realm with Swiss-Italian born Christian Tagliavini’s Dame Di Cartone, which literally translates to Cardboard Ladies. What he has created is a glimpse into the past with these lovely portraits, the clothes being entirely crafted out of cardboard and now for your viewing pleasure if you happen to be in London. The exhibition “Cut Out & Keep” is being held at the at the Diemar Noble Photography Gallery until January 7th, 2012.

Aloha! Bienvenue! Welcome! by Brittney Lee

As you remember in the past we debuted Brittney Lee on our blog with her brilliant piece that homaged The Little Mermaid, one of my fave movies. I can barely keep up with the unsurpassed work she has created since we saw her here last, but you can catch a glimpse of latest work entitled “Aloha! Bienvenue! Welcome!” that was featured in the “It’s A Small World Exhibition” at Gallery Nucleus.
