Portland Paper City 2011
After a public vote in the city of Portland, OR back in March 2010, Portland Paper City won a proposal for an exhibition, with support from Art Spark to produce a showcase of abstract, figurative, and architectural representations of the City of Portland through the art of papercraft and paper sculpture.
I invite all lovers of paper to gather round and experience Portland Paper City — a unique installation collaborative run and organized by a quite crafty collective of designers, Marisa Green, Jessie Bazata, Sean Garrison, and Rory Phillips. They have just opened their doors this past weekend and will be on display at Disjecta from Saturday, March 5, 2011 through Saturday, March 26, 2011.
