From a recently ended exhibition in Montreal, Canada comes Euphoria v.2, a paper cut installation by Vanessa Alarie that measures 183 x 488 x 366 cm. Her work is very reminiscent of the PENUMBRA Cloudscapes exhibition by Mia Pearlman that I previously blogged.
Eiko Ojala is a a graphic designer from Tallinn, Estonia and has recently been working with paper as the medium for his illustrations. These clever paper cut portraits utilize the raising and lowering of their edges to make the contours pop in reaction to light.
Russian modern artist Serge Mendzhiyskog cuts and reconfigures hundreds of photographs into these intricately abstract collages which in turn reveal a different aspect of how the photographs themselves can be viewed as a whole.
