Nicole Aptekar just recently had a series open at the Satellite66 gallery entitled “New / Exploration / Paper” in San Francisco’s SOMA district. She put together a collection of layered works inspired by “The Ghostly Series” by Matthew Shilian where she took the same concept and applied it to a logo form of X and a circle all produced on bristol boards. The exhibition runs from August 12th – September 24th so if your in the San Francisco area be sure to check it out.

“Textured scaffolding made out of paper. Spun cavities, spiraling angles and floating bristol-board islands. A mysterious, solitary logo consisting of circle and the letter X, reinterpreted in dozens of different ways.” — Coilhouse
