Andrew S. Allen: The Thomas Beale Cipher

On a recent trip to the just finished Animation Block Party in Brooklyn, New York, I stumbled upon an astounding video entitled ‘The Thomas Beale Cipher’ by Andrew S. Allen. When I say wow I mean it!

The story itself is based on a set of three cipher texts that date back to the 1820s. Everything from the concept, styling and paper texturing of each piece makes this short film, which feels very film noir, beautifully depicted and a must see. You can view more about the project at www.andrewsallen.com.
